Biography
Dr. Daniel Greenwald
Dr. Daniel Greenwald has been practicing Cosmetic Surgery and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery in Tampa since 1993. He graduated cum laude from Princeton University and received his MD from Yale. After training in General Surgery in New York, Dr. Greenwald was chosen to receive the first-ever Research Scholarship Award from the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation. He then completed formal training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Chicago. From there he went to Massachusetts General Hospital for fellowship training in Hand and Microvascular Reconstruction. He was appointed to the faculty of Harvard Medical School where he taught Plastic Surgery and currently holds an Associate Professorship at USF in the Division of Biomedical Engineering.
Dr. Greenwald is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, including Cosmetic Surgery of the Face, Head and Neck, Trunk, and Extremities. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and many other scientific and medical societies. Dr. Greenwald has held appointments at the National Institutes of Health and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and continues to lecture around the world on topics related to Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Greenwald lives in South Tampa with his wife and two children.
